About the Employer

Positions Available
2 x Pipe Welders - 4 year programme
1 x Pipefitters - 3 year programme

Welder - Having been trained in the fundamental skills at CATCH, you’ll work at one of EFAB’s facilities, or on sites such as petrochemical plants, oil refineries and other processing plants. You’ll use the skills you’ve learned and develop them further, gaining experience, and working closely with experienced craftspeople. By the conclusion of this course you will be able to manually weld tubes and pipes to high standards of quality and integrity using various manual arc welding processes. Each welding process requires significantly different welding equipment, skills and techniques, and will require the individual to work to detailed engineering specifications

Pipefitter - Having been trained in the fundamental skills at CATCH, you’ll work at one of EFAB’s facilities, or on sites such as petrochemical plants, oil refineries and other processing plants. You will be completing the laying out and marking out, cutting, forming and joining of metal pipe, which when assembled, form industrial process piping and heating/cooling systems. Typical industrial process pipe is under high pressure, which requires metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel and many different alloy metals fused together through precise cutting, threading, bending and welding, and through this apprenticeship you will develop the skills and knowledge to perform these tasks.
